A community clinic that provides health services prevents, diagnoses and treats. It includes comprehensive prenatal care programs, ultrasounds, sonograms, breast feeding, and childbirth classes.

Hospitals – Hospitals treat patients with acute and serious health problems and administer surgeries. Private hospitals can be very expensive. Sometimes if you cannot prove evidence of insurance or means of payment you may be denied treatment. Most major insurance schemes cover a lot but not all of your hospital costs. Jackson Memorial Hospital is the largest public hospital in Miami and provides care regardless of your ability to pay. It is affiliated with the University of Miami Medical School and treats poorer patients as well as those with special surgical and rehabilitation needs. It has modern facilities for neonatal care, burns, organ transplants, and spinal cord injuries.
Baptist Hospital is the largest private hospital in the county. To be accepted for treatment you must have insurance or proof of ability to pay.
